In regions where Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is unavailable, cost-prohibitive, or lacks nearby production facilities, BeneCent proactively developed a viable alternative. Leveraging local availability of lightweight aggregates, BeneCent identified pumice-based lightweight concrete as a high-performance substitute for AAC.
To validate this solution, BeneCent conducted comprehensive research covering pumice material specifications, optimized mix designs, and block production methods. Full-scale roof prototypes were constructed and subjected to structural load testing up to 1 ton/m², successfully confirming performance, safety, and reliability.
This innovation enabled BeneCent to deliver the same structural efficiency, thermal performance, and construction speed associated with AAC—using locally sourced materials—reducing cost, supply risk, and dependency on imported systems.
